Andrew Mitchell Bio

Andrew Mitchell is a Certified Public Accountant who started his accounting career in 1977, and founded Romano & Mitchell in 1984 as a Managing Partner (specializing in Tax).

He is responsible for the overall operations of the firm, overseeing client interactions with corporations, privately-held companies, not-for-profit organizations, partnerships, individuals, estates and trusts.

An expert in individual and corporate tax planning and tax compliance management, Andy has successfully represented hundreds of clients before the IRS and state agencies over the years.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, and serves as Treasurer and Board of Director member of Everybody Wins! DC, a not-for-profit literacy and monitoring organization for DC Public Schools.  He has also served for a not-for-profit arts organization since 1980.
